Yoga for Managing Anxiety
In this special four-part series we will work with various yoga practices to help manage anxiety. Each set of practices is designed to facilitate the control of the symptoms of anxiety. The carefully selected asanas (physical practices) will help help relieve physical tensions in the whole body. The focus of pranayama (breath practices) will be to help the mind let go of anxiety-producing thought patterns. Yoga Nidra and meditation practices will be chosen to provide the mind a structure to follow without becoming too internalized. We will also work with a mantra for overcoming fear and difficulties. Experience how the full toolkit of yoga can facilitate the release of tensions, both physical and mental.
