What exercise burns the most belly fat

This is a common problem in our world and rightly so a common question.

The problem lies in the fact that there is not a direct answer that you want to hear. Do crossfit, or do zumba, or run on a treadmill. The reason it is not that straightforward is that our belly fat is not simply a physical problem. It is a physical manifestation of mental and emotional health.

While the answer I give you may not satisfy your immediate desire, if you truly desire to reduce your belly fat, it is THE answer you need to hear.

A form of movement that connects you with your bodily sensations is the best choice. A form of movement where you get a chance to feel where you are at and accept that and begin gradually making progress towards a healthier version of you. A studio and teacher that have the ability to gently guide you and challenge you, while providing a safe atmosphere for emotional processing when it comes up. A studio that exudes acceptance. You need to be in a place that models to you, how you can and should love yourself in order to make the change you want in your life.

I would suggest a blend of yoga, pilates and meditation. I would search for a studio that provides the appropriate setting. General yoga classes of all slim 20-somethings, doing exagerated or complex poses in a flow that you’re unable to do or keep up with is not what I would recommend. A studio where you go through the movements or motions as if repetitions with no point or purpose is not what I would recommend. Movement with actual instruction, with guidance on how to feel your body and notice what it is telling you and release its patterns to make room for new better ones. That is what I would recommend to burn belly fat.

To burn belly fat, your entire body needs to reorganize itself and that only will happen with a teacher who can provide a truly holistic approach. By holistic I simply mean knowing that the belly is connected to the legs, and arms, and the emotions. At bare minimum, the way you hold you posture above your legs, and as you progress, the process of releasing the mental blocks that have been keeping that posture in place for all your years.
