Are you Willing to be Wrong?
TO FINALLY GET IT RIGHT?
You must be willing to be wrong first if you’re ever going to get it right.
Changing your movement patterns, while it seems like you want it to be about getting it right, doesn’t start there.
I know that sounds like blasphemy, and may make you wonder what am I here for then, to do it wrong? Well yes, at least to be willing to do it wrong.
Why is that? I could give you instructions that will make you feel like you are getting it right, and may even make you look like you’re getting it right. But how will you really know?
Confidence is one of the most important things that you build while getting to know your body and mind. Confidence comes from experiencing and figuring it out for yourself. If you are following my direction only, you will always wonder if I am telling you right or if you have understood me correctly.
If, instead you are willing to get it wrong, and I say willing because the process you will learn is about feeling your body and helping it find its way back to natural functioning with your assistance, sometimes it feels wrong in comparison to other things we have been taught or think we already know about our posture. To be willing to be wrong is also to be willing to let go of all of those previous ideas about what is right, as in, maybe you were wrong to follow them and maybe whoever told you was wrong or their description wasn’t clear or explained enough to prevent error.
To confidently know your body, which is what we are learning here, it is not about knowing the concept of the body. Or knowing what someone else knows of their body. It is KNOWING. YOUR. body. To know it will require you to explore it so fully that you allow room for mistakes and being wrong. The great thing with the body, is it will tell you pretty quickly if something is very wrong, and the point of the LIB process is that you learn a language of sensation that will lead you down a path of development that ends up avoiding the extremes of wrong and right all together, taking you closer to trusting yourself than maybe ever before.
It doesn’t take long either, you will gain some trust and confidence right in your first lesson. Thats why we are happy to let you try it for free, we know you will be able to tell you’re on the right path and if you feel that good in one lesson, can you imagine how you’ll feel after the 100th?
